Note: This requires at least version 2.5.2 of Atomic Microscope please contact support@starkdesign.com if you have an earlier version.

1) On Windows, open up Notepad (Start Menu -> Programs -> Accessories -> Notepad) or on Macintosh, open SimpleText or your other favorite text editor;

2) Add the following line to the text editor:

user_folder="c:\your\path\here"

Or on Macintosh:

user_folder=":hard drive:your:path:here"

3) Save this file as "md.ini" in the Resources folder where you installed the software (typically C:\Program Files\Stark Design\Resources on Windows and :Hard Drive:Stark Design:Resources on Macintosh). If the file already exists, you will want to perform step 2 using the existing file instead of replacing it.

On Windows, your path may include environment variables such as in this example:

user_folder="%USERPROFILE%\States"
