Screenshots using Windows Note: This requires at least version 2.5.2 of Atomic Microscope please contact support@starkdesign.com if you have an earlier version. 1) Open up Notepad (Start Menu -> Programs -> Accessories -> Notepad) or your favorite text editor; 2) Add the following line to the text editor: graphics_mode=desktop 3) Save this file as "md.ini" in the Resources folder where you installed the software (typically C:\Program Files\Stark Design\Resources ). If the file already exists, you will want to perform step 2 using the existing file instead of replacing it. 4) Make sure that your Windows Display Settings are set to use at least high (16 bit) color. You can check your Display settings by double-clicking on the Display icon in your Control Panel and then selecting the Settings tab; 5) Run the software and get to your desired screen; 6) Press the Print Scrn key on your keyboard. This will copy an image of your desktop to the clipboard; 7) Open Paint (Start Menu -> Programs -> Accessories -> Paint) or your favorite drawing program and then paste your image. You will probably want to select the portion of the screen that you are interested in and then paste it again into your drawing program or word processor to print it nicely. |
