Lab Setup

First, follow standard procedures to download and install the software onto your server computer. Once the server is up and running, follow the instructions below. If you have questions or need clarification, please send email to support@starkdesign.com

Windows 95/98/NT

To run the software, workstation computers require access to the registry entries found in "HKEY_LOCAL_COMPUTER/Software/Stark Design/Atomic Microscope/2.1".

The recommended way of granting access to these registry entries is to copy them from their current location into your general user profile under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Stark Design/Atomic Microscope/2.1". Both of these locations are searched for the necessary registry entries.

So that users can save custom states within the software, you should also review instructions on how to change the user folder.

Macintosh

To run the software, client computers must have access to a file called "SDBin.sys" in your Preferences folder (:Hard Drive:System Folder:Preferences:SDBin.sys). Make sure that this file gets copied onto your client computers in addition to the application folder and files.

So that users can save custom states within the software, you should also review instructions on how to change the user folder.
