Atomic Microscope simulates atoms in motion. This interactive science software features Stark Design's simple-to-use "atomic microscope" technology. What features does the software include? Atomic Microscope enables you to visualize molecular concepts that are fundamental in chemistry, physics and materials science. Click here for a list of experiments. Atomic Microscope is for anyone interested in science who wants easy to use modeling software that fully leverages the visualization power of desktop computers. It is nearly as popular with kids as it is with scientists. Where can I read testimonials? We have compiled several testimonials from educational and industry leaders. Click here to read about what people are saying about Atomic Microscope. What customizations does the software support? The software allows learners to save experiment states and share them with others. It also allows people to create guided tours which can interactively present their states with on-screen billboards. Click here to view our tutorial. Where can I find additional resources? We have assembled many links to additional resources on our Resources web page. Click here to browse our collection of links. Does a manual accompany the software? A manual is provided in the form of a PDF document, which requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. This document, named "Learning Guide", will be installed into the folder where the software is installed and can be printed out for your convenience. If you do not already have Acrobat Reader installed, download it from Adobe. How can I use the diskettes to install the software? Insert the first diskette and double-click the installer program to run the installer. You will be prompted to insert the second diskette to complete installation. What are the accessibility features? Atomic Microscope can be controlled using keyboard shortcuts. Also, sound can be turned on to show either atom-atom collisions or atom-wall collisions. Our high-contrast graphics are designed to allow audiences to understand the experiments visually even from a distance. What are the system requirements? Atomic Microscope is available for both Windows and Macintosh platforms. Click here to view the system requirements for both platforms. We have compiled a series of screenshots for Atomic Microscope at the Screenshot Gallery. |
